We’re delighted to announce that Rikin Shah has been short listed for a BASA award (British Asian Sports Award). Last years winners included Amir Khan.

Rikin is a great inspiration to all of the children he works with at the Jason Roberts Foundation around inclusive football, the Rob Burton Soccer School and as a DASH disability awareness mentor. He has also worked closely with the ‘Kick it Out’ campaign.

Rikin is a highly skilled FA certified football coach and has been nominated for the ‘Outstanding achievement Award’ for his recent completion of the UEFA B licence football course and his work with the Jason Roberts Foundation, DASH and the Rob Burton soccer school. Rikin is the most highly qualified wheelchair using football coach in the UK.

The British Asian Sports Awards is a unique event that offers a fantastic platform to showcase across the globe, the immense sporting talent that exists within the Asian community in the UK. The event is attended by some of the biggest names in sport, music and television.

The next BASA award ceremony will take place in London on the 5th March and will be celebrating its 10th year.
