Foundation distributes more kit to Grenada
The Jason Roberts Foundation’sin collaboration with the St. George’s University the spent last weekend delivering sporting gear to many villages throughout Grenada. The distribution team was spearheaded by CEO of the Foundation Otis Roberts.
Kitswere delivered to the following areas; Grand Anse, Mont Tout, Springs, River Road, Tempe, Vendome, Wills, Happy Hill, Grand Roy, Gouyave, Waterloo andMaran. The first kit drop took place in the summer of thisyear when Jason was on hand to personally deliver kits to some of the Parishes on the island. As promised, the Foundation planned to deliver the generous amount of sporting materials, boots and kit – kindly donated by a well-known sportswear giant, over a number of months throughout the year, to ensure they reach as many young people as possible.
The kit drop – which has now been a regular feature of the Foundation’s Grenada programme, was delivered in association with St. George’s University, who provided help and assistance with transportation to enable the kit to be delivered to the more ruralparts of the island. Jason Roberts said, “I would like to extend my thanks to St. George’s University for their continued support over the last three years. Without their help in supplying transport and extra hands to deliver the kit, there are many children and young people we would not be able to reach – we are very grateful to the University for their continued assistance.”
