Jason Roberts leaves Blackburn

Jason Roberts has signed an 18-month contract with Reading Football Club after a five-and-a-half year spell at Blackburn Rovers.

 

He takes squad number 33 and went straight into the squad for the home game against Bristol City where Jason scored the winning goal on his debut for Reading.

Jason has scored 157 goals in his professional career, and has eight years of Premier League experience.

Reading Chairman Sir John Madejski said, “I am delighted that a man of Jason Roberts’ calibre has decided to sign for Reading Football Club. He will bring enormous experience to the club, and I wish him every success in helping his new teammates.”

The Foundation would like to thank Blackburn Rovers Football Club and their Community Trust department for their help and support during Jason’s stay at the club.
